Rough skin is not the skin we desire, We all want our skin to be as soft, smooth and wrinkle-free as possible, but we don’t all want to spend hours each week on our skincare routine.

The good news is, you don’t have to. No matter how lazy you are with your skincare regime, there are a number of simple steps you can take to look and feel smoother, even if you are a lazy lady.

That being the case, check out my lazy lady’s guide to smooth skin below:

Botox

Okay, so if you really don’t want to put much effort into your daily skincare regime, then getting botox is a quick fix that will smooth out any wrinkles and leave your skin feeling soft and youthful, in an instant. It really is the ultimate in lazy skincare, so if you aren’t op[posed to it, then it could be the best skincare tool in your arsenal.

Stay hydrated

If you’re lazy, but you want your skin to look naturally smoother, plumper and more youthful, then you need to make sure that you are drinking at least 2 litres of water each day.

The more hydrated you sr, the plumper and clearer your skin is going to be. `If you’re dehydrated, dryness and wrinkles will be more likely to appear and dominate your skin because there will be o plumpness available from good hydration. Carry a water bottle with you everywhere and drink regularly!

And use a humidifier

As well as drinking water, if you want your skin to be as hydrated as possible, it is also a good idea to sleep with a humidifier next to your bed. This will fill the room around you with a fine mist of moisture that will prevent dry air from causing your skin to crack or dry out, and it is as lazy as you get – just turn it on, go to sleep and let it work its magic on you.

Exfoliate

No matter what else you do, your skin will never be as smooth and flawless as it could be if you do not exfoliate. The process of exfoliation removes dead, dull, skin cells that can make your skin appear rough and blotchy, so taking the time to remove it once or twice a week, depending on how sensitive your skin is and how often you need it, is vital.

That being said, over-exfoiation can cause oyuer skin to become sore, red and dried out, which is why you should aim to do it only once or twice a week, and why creating your own natural exfoliants with brown sugar and coconut oil is often more effective.

And dry brush

As well as exfoliating your face, you should aim to dry brush your skin, ideally using a hog’s hair brush, at least once a week to remove dead skin from the rest of your body, while also improving your circulation, for clearer, more youthful skin.

Moisturise

No matter how lazy you are, you need to ensure that you moisturise your skin each day if you want it to look as smooth and supple as possible. Using moisturisers that contain hyaluronic acid is ideal as they will help to combat the causes of dryness and keep your skin feeling smooth. If you can find a product that also contains vitamin C, that would be even better as Vit C can p[rotevt against free radicals that damage the skin and cause premature signs of ageing to occur.

And apply SPF

Once you have moisturised, before you head out for the day, you are going to want to ensure that you apply sunscreen, or at the very least, foundation that includes SPF protection. The sun’s rays can cause so much damage to your skin, not only drying it out but causing wrinkles, fine lines and brown spots to occur.

The highest SPF products you can find are the best at protecting your skin from the sun’s rays, and even if it is not particularly sunny out, you still need to wear SPF protection because UV rays are still able to top affect your skin even when it isn’t the height of summer. You would be remiss not to take every precaution you can.

As you can see, you can achieve smoother, sexier skin without putting in a huge amount of effort. You just need to make sure you are hydrating, exfoliating, moisturising and protecting your skin. So what are you waiting for?
